Vanaf morgen kunnen spelers via de cloud PS5-games streamen naar de PlayStation Portal-handheld. Dat heeft Sony bekendgemaakt.
Tot nu toe konden spelers alleen gebruikmaken van Remote Play, wat vereiste dat de console aanstond en de game lokaal was geïnstalleerd. Dankzij de nieuwe cloudoptie is dat niet langer nodig, al is wel een PlayStation Plus Premium-abonnement vereist.
Volgens Sony gaat het om duizenden titels, waaronder Astro Bot, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Borderlands 4, Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto 5, Resident Evil 4 Remake en Ghost of Yotei. Ook titels uit de PlayStation Plus Extra- en Premium-catalogus, zoals The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarök en Hogwarts Legacy, zijn speelbaar via de Portal.
